In this article will discuss the benefits of CBD oil. But let us look at what CBD is.
WHAT IS CBD?
When the word marijuana, cannabis, weed, or hemp is mentioned, it is always associated with its ability to make one high by the psychoactive ingredient contained in the flower. (Bud) The cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the most common natural cannabinoid found in the marijuana plant. It can be extracted from the trichome of the plant and referred to as Phytocannabinoid.
The cannabis crop has other useful cannabinoids that are essential for medical and recreational purposes. They include the popular Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), Cannabigerol (CBG), Cannabichromene (CBC) and many others.
So, what is legal CBD? It is a product (cannabinoids) that is produced from the hemp plant and holds 0.3 percent or less of THC. It does not have the psychoactive effects that the cannabis plant produces and does not give the feeling of euphoria at all. The high level of THC in the plant creates then CBD is not what you are looking for.
Research has shown that CBD has been able to stabilize THC effects like sleep disorder and anxiety. It was studied to have medical and therapeutic uses, and is relatively safe since it is not toxic. It works as a sedative, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antibiotics.
CBD is used in edible products for humans and animals like CBD oil tincture, gummies, capsule, pet food and a lot more. CBD oil is extracted from the cannabis Sativa species either through carbon dioxide or ethanol extraction and then mixed with the hemp seed oil or any other preferred oil (olive oil, coconut oil) to make the tincture.
THE BENEFITS OF CBD OIL
CBD oil enhance the function of the endocannabinoids. The serotonin, opioid, adenosine, and vanilloid receptors also affect the body movement, cardiovascular muscle and allow the proper flow of blood. They help the body produce natural cannabinoids. The CBD oil interacts with two endocannabinoids which are cannabinoid receptor 1, CB1 and cannabinoid receptor 2, CB2. CB1 receptor deals with brain coordination and helps with the movement of the body. CB2 receptors take care of pains and inflammation in the body. CBD oils can be dropped on the tongue and allow it to gradually slip down the throat or used with drinks and food. It can be made into to a paste and rubbed onto the body. Its medicinal attributes are enhanced to achieve the under listed benefits.
- Analgesic effect
People experience pains due to different reasons such as ailments or diseases, wrong position of the body, accidents or issues associated with age. Whenever one is in pain, it naturally obstructs your daily activity, no matter where it is hurting, it can make one feel uncomfortable. When it comes to relieving this unwanted discomfort, CBD oil has proven to be extremely useful by adding it to your daily diet (as a supplement) this helps to supply needed nutrient to enhance the endocannabinoid receptors in the human body. It is remarkably effective in treating mild to moderate pain but for severe or chronic pain, CBD oil works well with a little THC for fast relieve. So, marijuana CBD oil may be a possibility for severe pain caused by the symptom of cancer or other illnesses.
- Takes care of anxiety
Lots of studies have shown that researchers have discovered that CBD oil works well when treating the psychoactive effect caused by using a higher intake of THC and non-psychoactive related anxiety. These effects usually include anxiety and depression. CBD affects the serotonin receptors (which regulates the mood), and it helps to relieve anxiety and stress in the body.
Though, no verified study shows that the oil can be of help for people suffering from depression. But it is medically accepted to be able to calm stress and reduce anxiety if taken within one to two hours to get you to relax.
- Used as sedative
Early to bed, and early to rise, makes Jack smarter and wise. It is a usual saying which is not far from the truth. When you sleep well, you are more likely to wake up sound, mentally alert, coordinated and relaxed such that it is easy to make good choices. Insomnia is a condition that affects a lot of people, and this condition robs you of sleep. It keeps your eyes wide open at night even when you are exhausted. As such, you have no choice other than tossing and turning and ending up with a wandering mind. People who experience insomnia and schizophrenia have low productivity, high blood pressure, loss of their memory, and other associated problems.
CBD oil as a sedative can relax the nervous system, and it helps you to sleep longer. You wake up refreshed and not feeling groggy
- Reduces inflammation and acne
It is medically proven to be able to treat acne, help with symptoms of arthritis and reduces inflammation. CBD oil produces sebum but prevents excessive secretion of the sebum. It doesn’t allow the production of cytokines which causes inflammation that results in the acne .
- Reduces high blood pressure
There are a lot of illnesses that are associated with high blood pressure. These sicknesses are heart attack, stroke, and hypertension, but not limited to these only. The use of CBD oil as earlier stated ensures proper flow of blood by activating the receptor that helps relax the blood vessel reducing the blockage of blood flow in the heart or the brain.
- Aid psychoactive related addiction recovery
The neuroprotective effects in CBD oil make it an essential compound for use in reducing addiction to THC and alcohol. A study done in the USA explicitly shows that with CBD oil, addiction to marijuana can become a thing of the past. The associating issue that comes with this addiction includes anxiety, sleeplessness, and incoherent behavior. The CB1 receptor in the brain helps calm anxiety, reducing excess activity, regulates posture control and memory functionality. It also activates the vanilloid receptor that regulates body temperature. The serotonin and adenosine receptors release antidepressant effects and cardiovascular functionality, to ease pains and heart functionality throughout the body.
- Relieves symptoms of diabetes
Medications used by people with diabetes have side effects that include nausea, pain, inflammation, and stomach aches. CBD oil can ease the stomach pain and inflammation caused by an increase in blood sugar level of diabetes patients. Medicine has classified diabetes into two: Type1 and Type 2 diabetes. But with Type 2 diabetes, the body cells do not respond to the production of insulin, causing too much sugar or glucose in the bloodstream leading to an inflammation of the blood vessels wall. CBD oil may help take care of this, though no research shows it can reduce blood sugar level and increase the production of insulin.
CBD oil has been used and discovered to take care of so much more than the listed benefits. Despite the effectiveness of this oil, I do recommend that you consult your doctor before using the oil for treatment. It will help you know if it will not affect the medication you are already on. There is no set dosage for use in the treatment of all the highlighted conditions but start gradually and vary intake if you notice side effects like nausea, diarrhea, fatigue or any change in appetite.
I hope that in the future CBD oil will be acclaimed safe for human consumption at all levels with the right and proper dosage for treatment of any ailment.

Hey a great and helpful post! Thank you for taking your time to spread your knowledge.
I found this post very interesting as I wasn’t aware of the great benefit cbd provides, like you mentioned at the beginning, I assumed cbd or weed and those other words associated with the plant actually get you high but it turns out cbd is far from that. Certainly can use some of it after looking at it’s benefits.
Have a great day!
I’m so glad this post is here! CBD oil has honestly been a life changer for me. I used to suffer from anxiety and depression pretty regularly, and CBD oil has helped to drastically reduce those symptoms. Additionally, it’s helped with my chronic pain. I highly recommend giving CBD oil a try if you’re struggling with any of those issues!
My mother-in-law used CBD oil for her knee pain and said it helps her a lot. She used to be scared of all of this because it was marijuana-related, but now she is pleased she can take the long walk she loves.
She had to stop due to pain, but now, with the oil and sometimes some CBD pills, she is happier than before.
Thank you for sharing expeeience
I had heard about the great benefits of CBD oil but didn’t know there were so many! Interesting how CBD oil can aid with psychoactive-related addiction recovery since many people are afraid to get addicted to marijuana. Great news concerning diabetes as well. Diabetes is increasing so if CBD oil can help relieve some of the pain and inflammation, that’s awesome! Thanks for sharing this helpful and informative article about CBD oil’s awesome health effects!
You are absolutely right; whenever we hear the words marijuana, cannabis, or weed, they immediately raise a red flag. And it is understandable because these are generally classified as prohibited drugs.
In the Philippines, there have been talks about regulating cannabis for pharmaceutical purposes. I don’t think it even got to congress for deliberation as it was immediately shut down. ☺
But if we are just being objective about it, cannabidiol (CBD) has so many health benefits like the ones you enumerated in this post. But the most common use I know is as a pain reliever and I know it is very effective. I didn’t know that CBD can also regulate high blood pressure and relieves diabetes symptoms.
Like you, I also hope that CBD will eventually be allowed as a medical alternative. The only problem I see is that it has the tendency to be abused if not strictly regulated.
My husband and I both use CBD – him for his lower back, knees and shoulders and I use it to sleep at night and to keep me calm throughout the day. We both are experiencing the benefits of CBD and living a much better quality of life.
Neither one of use prescription medication but rely on CBD to get us through each day.
Thank Mary for sharing your experience
It’s great to get a full description of what CBD actually is and what it is not. CBD has personally worked for a lot of people I know who had trouble getting relief from other sources. In addition to some of the more commonly known treatments for anxiety and pain, I learned about a bunch of additional uses from your article as well. Thanks for sharing – it’s always good to keep up with treatment options.
Wow, this is a fantastic and informative article. For sharing your insights, I appreciate your time. Like I said at the outset, I thought cbd, cannabis, and all the other things related with the plant truly got you high, but it turns out cbd is far from that, therefore I found this piece extremely intriguing because I didn’t know the tremendous benefit cbd brings. In light of its merits, I could use a little bit of it.
Hello, an extraordinary and supportive post! Much obliged to you for taking as much time as necessary to spread your insight. I’m so happy this post is here! CBD oil has sincerely been a day-to-day existence transformer for me. I used to experience the ill effects of uneasiness and melancholy pretty consistently, and CBD oil has served to lessen those side effects definitely. Also, it’s assisted with my ongoing aggravation. I energetically suggest checking CBD oil out assuming you’re battling with any of those issues!
Wow, I did not know all of this because of the bad report that this herb has been getting over the years, I believe that the reason why a lot of people are against it is because of its abuse the misuse of it. So this herb does have a postive side to it in helping people with health-related issues. Thanks for sharing.

I have been considering incorporating CBD oil into my wellness routine, and your article has definitely convinced me to give it a try.
I was particularly interested in the potential stress-reducing and anxiety-relieving effects, as well as the potential for reducing inflammation and improving sleep.
Thank you for sharing this valuable information!
I’m excited to see the potential benefits for myself.
Hi
Thanks to your article, I now have a better understanding of what CBD is all about. I will be honest, I too had the impression that it’s something that always gives you a high. You explained it so well.
I also learned a lot about the benefits of CBD oil. I suffer from Tinnitus. This is the crazy ringing going on in my ears. And unfortunately, it became so bad, that I had no choice but to wear a hearing aid. Can CBD oil help with my condition?
I got some hope when you said that it can help people with anxiety. The Tinnitus condition definitely makes me anxious, so I guess I will try it for that purpose. But I am wondering if it will help for the ringing in the ears.
Thanks for all the help.
Regards
Roopesh
Have to say when I first started hearing about CBD, taught it was just another way for users to get high.
Now after using CBD to help manage my stress levels and pain, I no longer take prescription medicines to cope with these ailments.
My physician recommended CBD, as am a strong believer in prescription drugs will only cause more damage to our organs and we need to heal ourselves naturally.
I found your article very informative and well put together.
I was aware of most of cbd oils benefits however I wasn’t sure how they were used and how we could use them in order to reap the rewards of using it so thank you for the clarity.
I like the facts you put in here about these oils, you’ve done a lot of valuable research and saved me the trouble.
Thanks for explaining what CBD oil is and its benefits. When I hear the words marijuana, cannabis, weed, or hemp, I always think about its ability to get me high by the psychoactive ingredient contained in the flower. I didn’t know at CBD is one of the most common natural cannabinoid found in the marijuana plant and that you can extract it from the trichome plant. I am more and more convinced that weed is helpful and essential for medical purposes. I would like to be able to have the medicinal effects (reduction of pain) of marijuana without the psychoactive effects which would make me ineffective in doing my job. Thanks for your review on CBD oil.
Superb read. With all the positive attributes associated with CBD, I feel like it should have a lot more popular and prevalent than it is right now! I’ve seen videos on the tremendous effects it can have on the quality of life of people suffering from various ailments and illnesses.
Keep spreading the good message!
Many people use CBD oil as a remedy for various diseases and disorders. For example, people use CBD oil to treat chronic pain, anxiety, epilepsy and more. CBD oil is considered a safe and effective treatment for these conditions because it’s non-toxic and has no side effects. In some cases, CBD oil has even proven to be an effective cure for cancer, diabetes, MS and other serious illnesses. Plus, CBD oil is great for pets since it can help animals control pain, anxiety, seizures and other issues.
Great job explaining the benefits of this oil. Can it be turned into an ointment too?
I definitely agree that there is more to the plant than smoking it does. I’m not a regular user, but let’s face it, it’s worth it 😀
I first came across a CBD oil product when we bought it for my father for health issues.
Honestly, if smoking marijuana is beneficial in certain areas of human health, then a non-hallucinogenic CBD oil extract like this has to be a win. And the studies clearly prove it.
Thanks for the enlightenment!
Ivo
CBD oil is highly effective at tackling a vast number of ailments, both in humans and in our pets. What grates on me is the insistence of some world governments to ‘control’ the usage and availability.
This is a very helpful and informative post and I hope that it enables those who have your aforementioned predisposed ‘theories’ on CBD oil to get a clearer idea of what it’s all about and the invaluable nature of its benefits. Well done!
I have heard of CBD from my sister-in-law and she mentioned the benefits of CBD oil. At the time I was suffering from muscle spasms which usually happened at night. It so happened that I suffered cramps while sleeping at night and most of the time it kept me up. Thanks for this post, I am finally convinced to try the CBD oil and see what happens.
What I did not know was, that it benefits all kinds of sicknesses like diabetes, anxiety, pain and aches and so much more. Thanks so much for sharing this post. I certainly will try it and see what happens.
Many people still associate CBD with marijuana that will give you a high. But as long as CBD contains less than 0.3% THC, it is now legal to use in many countries. I was aware of several benefits of CBD, like being used for insomnia, pain management and reducing anxiety and stress, but I didn’t know that because of the neuroprotective effects in CBD oil, it can be used in reducing addiction to THC and alcohol.
You mention that “a study done in the USA explicitly shows that with CBD oil, addiction to marijuana can become a thing of the past”. But is there a link to the study where one can read more about it? Thank you.
Ah I should have known that it does not give the “euphoric” high. I thought that my living partner would be high 24/7 after using it, but I guess the benefits far outweigh the negatives. The anxiety is one of the biggest benefits that I personally thought of using them for, but as I see it has blood pressure lowering effects and other good pros. I’ll definitely keep that in mind!
This is an awesome post that I learned so much from! I didn’t know that CBD came from the part of cannabis that didn’t make you high. This definitely puts away my previous stigma with CBD products thinking that they had many elements of the drug that made you high. I am definitely looking and considering the benefits of CBD products more carefully now.
Thanks for clarifying the difference between THC, CBC and CBD. Most people believe that it’s the same thing because they are derived from the same plant. And now I’ve learnt new things about CBD, which is astonishing. I knew its role as an analgesic and sedative, but I didn’t know it could be used to cure acne! Thanks for all these precisions, and keep up with this kind of content!
Thank you for this article, I am the kind of person who associates CBD with plain old cannabis designed to make you high.
So thank you for taking the time to explain the difference and moreover, the actual benefits!
I didn’t know it could have an influence on the symptoms lof diabetes! I understand, it doesn’t affect the medication? That’s great!
Thanks again and please keep posting!
This article really breaks down what CBD is all about. I have a general understanding of the term; however, I’m not that familiar with the effects and the long term benefits.
I knew that CBD can play a role in reducing inflammation in your body. I have an uncle who’s suffered from arthritis over the years, and he’s used CBD treatments to help treat it.
He told me recently that it helps reduced the arthiritis on his wrists. Before, he used to complain a lot. Now today, he doesn’t experience a lot of that pain as he used to.
So I see that CBD oil has tremendous benefits to improving someone’s health (mentally and physically). I’m glad to have a better understanding of the benefits.
Great article- thank you for sharing.
Brilliant information on cannabis CBD oil. I’m a great believer in the stuff and think it can help a lot of people out. Where do you thing its going in the future? Do you think it will become a more widely accepted medicine? How about THC? Because that also has a lot of medical benefits also
Particular, I think that is also true that it gets associated with drugs but it’s not always like this, if it can help people or maybe save their lives this should be put to good use, Good job on posting man and keep posting content that ranks, good luck and please keep putting your efforts and time into it
Hi there,
Great article. I have heard about CBD before but did not know all the benefits until now. I am a proponent of alternative medicines, and this appears to be one of them. Every now and then, I wake up with pain in my bad or neck.
I deal with the pain most of time. However, I ought to experiment with CBD to confirm it will relieve my pain. Though, I typically do not like to use or ingest products which have not been tested in an FDA laboratory.
Have any of the following gone through rigorous testing? How can we(I) know that the products are safe?
